Chistopol Watch Factory
Vostok
Description
Two Vostok 2802 watches with an industrial holder. It actually proves that precision watches were intended for industrial and military use. In 1957, the Chistopol Watch Factory began production of the high-precision K-28 watch under the Vostok brand. This model featured a small seconds hand and a non-shock-protected balance, and was powered by caliber 2802. The movement was based on the Zenith 135 caliber, which had a distinctive lateral minute-pinion construction not found in any other movement.
